Who we are
Yay Tours arranges private day tours from Geneva, Switzerland. If you have a question about this policy or about information we hold, use the contact form on this site.
The short version
This website asks you for one thing: the contact form, if you choose to write to us. There is no account and no payment page. It sets no cookies and does not track you between visits or across other websites.
The only personal information we hold is what you choose to put in that form, what you tell us in the conversation that follows, and what we need to run a tour you have booked.
When you visit this website
Our host, Cloudflare, keeps standard technical records of requests to the site — things like your IP address, browser type and which page was requested. These are kept briefly, and used to keep the site online, fast and secure. We do not use them to identify you.
We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. It works without cookies, does not follow you across other sites, and reports only totals: how many people looked at a page, roughly where in the world they were. It does not build a profile of you.
When you use the contact form
The form asks for your name and email address, and lets you add a destination, a topic and a message. We keep what you send so we can reply and arrange your day. That is the ordinary business of answering a question — nothing is added to a marketing list unless you ask us to.
Your message is delivered to our inbox by Resend, an email service acting for us. It passes through their systems on the way to us and is not used by them for anything else.
The form carries a hidden field that people never see and automated spam tends to fill in. If it is filled in we discard the message. Nothing about you is collected by that check.
When you book a tour
To run a tour we usually need your name, contact details, the date, how many of you there are, and where to collect you. Anything you tell us that affects the day — mobility needs, dietary requirements, travelling with young children — we use only to plan that day well.
Your driver-guide is told where and when to collect you and anything they need to look after you properly. Nothing more.
What we never do
We do not sell your information, rent it, or trade it. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not use it to build a profile of you, and we do not send you marketing you did not ask for.
How long we keep things
Enquiries that do not turn into a tour are deleted once the conversation is clearly over. Records of tours we have actually run are kept as long as accounting and tax rules require, and then deleted.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can object to us using it, and you can ask for a copy in a portable form. Ask us through the contact form and we will do it, at no charge.
If you are in Switzerland or the EU you also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information — if a booking form appears, or we start using analytics that track you — we will update this page and change the date at the top. The date is only ever changed when the policy itself changes.
